Tamarina Golf Club: 20 years of legacy

2026 marks a particularly special milestone in Tamarina Golf Club’s story: 20^th Anniversary.

Since opening in 2006, Tamarina Golf Club has stood the test of time and become recognised to be one of the island’s must play courses. Designed by Rodney Wright and constructed to P.G.A standards, this 18-hole, Par 72 layout blends technical play with some of the most striking scenery on the West Coast.

A championship course set between mountains and the sea, with spectacular views of Rempart Mountain and the nearby Tamarin Bay, the course makes a strong first impression and keeps it. The fairways roll gently across the landscape, framed by dry riverbeds and mature vegetation, while the ocean makes a memorable appearance on the 7th hole. It’s the kind of view that can distract even the steadiest swing.

Stretching 6,886 metres, Tamarina offers five tee options, making it accessible without ever feeling easy. There’s enough challenge here to keep low handicappers on their toes, but also enough forgiveness to ensure an enjoyable round for casual players. Expect well-placed hazards, subtle slopes, and the occasional reminder that golf is a game of patience.

For a relaxed lunch or a refined post-round cocktail, the clubhouse is one of the island’s most sought-after settings. From Le Dix-Neuf terrace, guests enjoy sweeping views over the Rivière du Rempart ravine, where monkeys move gracefully from tree to tree, at times seeming to observe the final moments on the 18th hole.

Twenty years on, Tamarina Golf Club remains a place to play, unwind, and soak in the beauty of the island. It is a course that challenges, delights, and always leaves you looking forward to the next round.
